Getting started
Welcome to Dexto
Dexto is all you need.Dexto is your AI command center that brings your chats, connections, knowledge, and apps all together in one place.
Unlike a chatbot that only answers questions, Dexto can take action. It can send emails, update spreadsheets, file tickets, generate images and videos, build and control apps, and run recurring processes across your tools. As you use Dexto, it learns what matters to you through memory and becomes more useful over time.
Just describe what you need to be done, and Dexto figures out the steps.
Dexto has its own persistent cloud computer that it uses to store files, run code, open browsers and run apps, so Dexto can keep working even when your laptop is closed.
In Dexto, you can:
- use 400+ models, 5 video generation models, 2 image generation models, and 3 audio generation models, all through a unified credit system;
- connect tools and connections you already use;
- build custom apps tailored to your needs;
- deploy sites in a single prompt;
- create custom AI agents for specialized tasks; and
- run loops on a recurring schedule.
See the Dexto showcase for examples of what you can do with Dexto
Why we built Dexto
Section titled “Why we built Dexto”Our team has been building and working with AI agents for over a year now, and we found multiple problems with existing products.
- Most agent products only let you use a few models, we wanted to be able to use the latest models across all providers
- Building and designing agents is hard. An agent is more than an AI model; the harness around it handles persistence, context, skills, tools, and model selection.
- Most agent products run locally, but your laptop has limited hardware. After running too many agents, we started to see bottlenecks in memory, CPU and storage. You may not always have good internet, or your laptop may not always be on.
- Connecting and managing external services is hard, and protocols evolve all the time
- No product today thinks of software as something that should be built for agents to operate, and humans to view.
We built Dexto so that you don’t have to think about any of this, and can focus on work, rather than infrastructure.
